【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedforuseincollectingsamplesofunconsolidatedsolidmaterialsfromdrumsorsimilarcontainers,includingthosethatareunstable,ruptured,orcompromisedotherwise.Specialhandlingprocedures(forexample,remotedrumopening,overpressurizeddrumopening,drumdeheading,etc.)aredescribedinEPA/600/2-86/013DrumHandlingPracticesatHazardousWasteSites.1.1Thispracticecoverstypicalequipmentandmethodsforcollectingsamplesofunconsolidatedsolidsindrumsorsimilarcontainers.Thesemethodsareadaptedspecificallyforsamplingdrumshavingavolumeof110U.S.gal(416L)orless.Thesemethodsareapplicabletohazardousmaterial,product,orwaste.Specificsamplecollectionandhandlingrequirementsshouldbedescribedinthesite-specificworkplan.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
