【摘要】:Thephysicalinventoryoftonsofcoalinastockpile,ascalculatedbythispractice,maybeusedforaccountingandtaxpurposes.Theinventoryresultsmaybecomparedtootherestimatesoftheinventory,suchas:4.2.1Tonsfromapreviousinventorylesstonsshippedorconsumed.4.2.2Tonsestimatedtohavebeenreceived(fromconveyor,railortruckweights)lesstonsshippedorconsumed.1.1Thispracticeisusedtocalculatethemass(commonlyexpressedintons)ofcoalinastoragepileusingthevolumeofthestockpilebyTestMethodD6172andthedensityofthecoaldeterminedbyTestMethodD6347/D6347M.1.2Thispracticeisapplicabletoallranksofcoal.1.3Theuserofthisstandarddetermineswhenthedensityvaluesprovidedbythesurveyrequireanadjustmentformoisture.1.4Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemscanresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
