【摘要】:Thegeneraldesigngeometryhereindefinedappliestobothaseparateadaptoraccessorymatingtwoboomsofdifferentgeometryaswellasboomendconnectors(seeTerminologyF818).Interconnectibilityisintendedtofacilitatematingofoilspillresponseboomsofvarioussizes,strengths,design,andmanufacture.Theuseofthisgeneraldesigngeometryinnowayguaranteestheeffectiveperformanceofthelinkedboomsections,sinceeachboomx2019;sdesignandtheenvironmentalconditionsateachincidentgovernoverallperformance.1.1Thisspecificationcoversdesigncriteriarequirements,designgeometry,materialcharacteristics,anddesirablefeaturesforoilspillresponseboomslideconnections.Thesecriteriaareintendedtodefineminimummatingcharacteristicsandarenotintendedtoberestrictedtoaspecificconfiguration.1.2ThespecificationdefinesthegeometryrequiredtomatewithtypicalUniversalslideconnectorsorSpecificationF962connectorswithwebthicknessupto0.3in.Someveryheavy-dutyorPVCconnectorsmayexceedthisdimensionandnotbecompatible.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
